There are some apartment complexes, property management companies and/or landlords that may require it.
Including in your coverage are your belongings, such as: Clothing, Electronics (TVs, DVD players, etc.), Furniture, Toys/other games, Tools/power equipment, etc.

Landlords Insurance: It is the coverage designed specifically for property investors with rental units. The dwelling must be non-owner-occupied or tenant-occupied to fit under this coverage. In general, a landlord insurance covers the property from things like fire, windstorms, hailstorms, vandalism, burglary, falling objects, and liability claims from a tenant or guest. But the kind of coverage you get will depend on your policy type.
There are other forms of personal property insurance such as : jewelry insurance, collectibles, personal cyber security, tiny house insurance and many more.
Jewelry Insurance: Jewelry insurance pays to replace or repair your jewelry if it's stolen or damaged. You can get jewelry insurance through your homeowners or renters insurance company or from stand-alone jewelry insurers
Collectibles Insurance: It is a type of insurance that specifically covers rare or valauble items, such as stamps, coins, artwork or antiques.

Replacement Cost: This option provides coverage on a replacement cost basis without deduction for depreciation instead of actual cash value.
Personal liability: If someone is injured on your property due to your fault or an insured causes damage to the property of others, this coverage will compensate them for damages.
Medical payments: Pays medical bills if someone else is hurt at your residence.
